Buildings and Grounds at ACNW
Situated on over 535 serene acres on the shores of Grindstone Lake near Sandstone, the beautiful and peaceful ACNW property is unique and encompasses a variety of habitat and ecosystems, including old growth pine forest, deciduous forest, managed woodlands, wetlands, and restored prairie.
Our location on Grindstone Lake and the stream that runs through our property provide recreational opportunities for canoeing, boating and fishing, as well as aquatic educational opportunities such as our Stream Superheroes, Lake Layers and Fish Function classes.
The buildings throughout the Center are a mixture of historic as well as newly constructed facilities that can provide lodging for over 160 people and meal service for 200+. Our guests have the opportunity to experience a wide range of meeting and learning environments including indoor classrooms, spacious lounges, wildlife barn, yurt, log cabin, lakeside lodge, and of course, the great outdoors!
