    The Audubon Center of the North Woods (www.audubon-center.org) is a residential environmental learning center located on the shore of Grindstone Lake in east central Minnesota. We work to protect, improve and promote the enjoyment and knowledge of the natural environment through outdoor education programs for all ages.

    The Audubon Center is seeking a highly motivated person to work as a curriculum and intern coordinator.
    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintenance of Audubon Center’s K-12 curriculum system, including facilitating updates of curriculum, entering updates in to the curriculum system, aligning curriculum with Minnesota graduation standards and updating of curriculum manual for education staff.
    • Develop curriculum as directed by the Center’s education and curriculum committees, and staff.
    • Coordinate and instruct the Audubon Center summer science camp and summer expeditions.
    • Work with School Program Coordinator to coordinate the Audubon Center’s offsite outreach programs.
    • Teach environmental education lessons to a variety of age groups in a residential setting.
    • Coordinate Intern Program in cooperation with School Programs Coordinator, including management, hiring, training, and evaluation of interns.

    Qualifications:
    Four year postsecondary degree in education or science related field
    Experience teaching in and outdoor setting including natural history knowledge and skills
    Knowledge and experience in writing curriculum.
    Flexibility working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
    Commitment to environmental education profession
    Strong communication and writing skills
    Experience managing staff or volunteers
