Holiday Dinner at the Lake

December 30 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$35

“Springtime in Paris” with Mike Link and Kate Crowley

What happens when two naturalists decide to rent an apartment in Paris and spend a month walking the streets and neighborhoods (400 miles of walking)? Discover parks and pleasures that make this one of the most unique of all cities and find out how two rural and wilderness wanderers could have such a great time in the middle of a city.

From Vincennes to Bois de Boulogne, Kate and Mike observed art and architecture, watched Parrots in the Park, doves eating outside their apartment window, took a side trip to Giverny where Monet was inspired and visited with many friends who have interned and worked at the Audubon Center of the North Woods over the years. Elevated parkways, unique statues, and a little side trip to both Reims and Amsterdam added to the month and memories.

Please join us for this year-end celebration! A wonderful banquet dinner followed by this interesting presentation by Mike and Kate as they share their discoveries and pleasures with you and maybe inspire you to take your own international adventure.

Appetizers start at 6:00 p.m.; presentation following dinner
