Homeschool Week – Winter 2018

January 22, 2018 @ 9:00 am - January 25, 2018 @ 1:00 pm

Winter Homeschool Program at ACNW

ACNW offers two Homeschool Weeks (November and January) to extend our quality K12 programming to the homeschool community. We specialize in overnight experiences for K–12 students and our classes are aligned with MN Academic Standards.

Join for us for a two- or three-day environmental learning experience full of outdoor skills and ecology education.  During these weeks your students will have the opportunity for more in-depth and hands-on learning in an outdoor setting. Through class options focused on ecology, wildlife, adventure, or cultural and natural history they will discover new ways to connect with the natural world, challenge themselves to push the limits of their comfort zones, and have fun in a new learning environment.

The homeschool fields trips include lodging, all meals and a variety of classes led by our highly-trained educational staff. We offer these at a tiered family rate to make them more affordable for homeschool groups, coops, and parents.

Winter week – January 22-25, 2018

Climbing wall, low and high ropes course may also be available depending on age and number of students. The number of classes you choose will depend on the length of your visit and we will work with you to create the best experience for you students and specific learning goals.

We intend for homeschool parents and teachers to utilize a portion of their time here to network, share ideas and experiences and network with other home educators. We hope it can be a great learning opportunity for students, teachers and parents alike. We welcome families of all sizes and cooperatives are encouraged to inquire. There is a student minimum of 24 in order to carry out programming so spread the word, tell other homeschool families or cooperatives and let’s make it happen!

Note: Families will stay in the same room. There should be at least one parent involved (no drop-offs).
