Deb will talk about how Sapsucker Farms came to be and how it has transformed over the last 18 years. She and her husband, Jim, moved from the Twin Cities to their 172 acre farm by Mora, MN in 2000. Their first crop was maple syrup, so they named their farm Sapsucker Farms, and they’ve been certified organic since 2008. Over the years they have added an apple orchard, a vegetable-growing operation, honeybees, chickens, and now a farm winery where they produce the award-winning Yellow Belly hard cider – which you’ll have the chance to enjoy during the evening!
